I took Parker to the dr yesterday. He has some nasal congestion. The dr was not able to give me anything for it, but told me to continue his breathing treatments once or twice a day. He said I could also continue to put the saline drops in his nose. Parker only gained 6 ozs since last time we went to the dr on 1/16/09. I started feeding him 5 ozs of formula last night. He has been on 4 for a while. Since he started daycare he is skipping a feeding in the middle of the night, so I am guessing that is why he isn't gaining as fast. He doesn't wake up to eat at 3 AM anymore, so I sure am not going to wake him to feed him. Its probably time for him to go up an oz anyway.
He is smiling all the time now. He is so precious!!!
He did very good with his shots. I think I cried more than he did!
I am so ready for it to turn a little warmer so we can take him outside more and stroll him in his stroller.
I bought him some books for Valentine's Day. I went ahead and read him one the other night. He seemed to enjoy it pretty good.

Update
Wow, so I haven't posted since my 37 week checkup. Sorry, been a little busy. Now that Parker is 8 weeks old and I am back at work, I will try to find time to blog a little more.
So I went into the hospital on 11/25 for a c section. The surgery went good and I felt great that day and the next. I guess the pain killers wore off because by Thursday I felt like death! I was so sick, I couldn't hold anything down. Well Parker had a heart murmur so they decided to keep him an extra night. I was so upset, but it turned out to be fine the next day. They came in and said they were releasing him so Danny and I got packed up. Well Dr. Shepherd came in (who is not my dr, she was just on call) and said they were keeping me because my blood pressure was so high. I was soooo disappointed. All of my family from Missouri was in town and I wanted to be able to spend time with them. I ended up being in the hospital from Tuesday to Sunday. By Sunday, I thought I was going to kill someone if I didn't get out that day!! So finally Dr Wilson came in and let me go home Sunday. My BP is back to normal now without meds.
Parker has been so good. He is so pleasant and cuddly. He has been such a good baby! He hardly ever cries (so far). He has rolled over a few time. He is an early achiever...lol He has been cooing and smiling up a storm. He has just started squealing a little when he is cooing. It is so cute.
He recently had RSV and we had to do breathing treatments for a little over a week. We were very fortunate to catch it early and get it taken care of before it got too serious.
He started daycare yesterday. He seemed to have liked it. I only tuned up for a few minutes when I dropped him off. Once I was on my way to work and got there I was fine. Mom and I went to see him at lunch and he was sleeping. I was so glad I didn't walk in and him be screaming! When I picked him up yesterday afternoon he was sitting in a swing just looking around. I am very grateful that he seemed to be content both times I walked in. He slept so good last night. They give me a list of times he ate, slept and how many diaper changes he had. Well he had not napped since around 1:15, so by the time I picked him up, got him home and fed him, he was worn out. We have been feeding him around 7 or 8 and he will sleep until 2 or 3 AM. Last night I woke him up and fed him around 10 to see if he would by-pass that early morning feeding and he did!!! He went back to sleep around 10:30 after feeding last night and slept until 5 AM. It was so nice to sleep consistent last night!!! I will continue to keep trying that!
You can go to www.dropshots.com/ecsims & www.dropshots.com/ecrachal to view pics of him.
I will try really hard to keep up on this blog business!
