I had my final check-up yesterday before Parker is here. It went well. I still have not dilated or anything. They moved my C-Section from 7:30 AM to 7:00 AM. Danny and I have to be at Glenwood at 5:00 AM on Tuesday. We are so excited and can not wait! The Dr says that I will be getting out of the hospital on Thanksgiving day if everything is going well. She said she will not rush me out, but if everything is fine, I will be discharged that day.
Danny, Parker and I are going to be staying at my Mom's house for about a week. She has been very busy getting everything ready for our arrival. Big thanks to her!
I can't wait to see everyone and hope everyone has safe travels. See ya'll soon!

36 Week checkup
I went to the Dr yesterday. Everything is still set for Nov 25th. The section is scheduled for 7:30 AM. Danny and I have to be there at 5:30. Who will be able to sleep that night anyway, right! We will be too excited and anxious! I can not believe that Parker will be here at this time, two weeks from now. WOW!!! Anyway, the Dr said that my cervix were still closed, so if I thought I had any contractions, they weren't. Which to be honest, I really don't know what I am looking for...

35 Week checkup
We went to the Dr yesterday and had an ultrasound. Parker was sleeping of course, so we didn't get many good pics. He did not want to bring his hand from his face. He weighs 6 lbs 2 ozs right now. His head is measuring at the 90th percentile. We discussed how big I was, Danny was, my nephews, whether my sister had a C Section, how big Danny's brothers were, etc. She decided to schedule a C Section for my on November 25th. Anything could happened between now and then, but it is on the books for the 25th. I will be 38 weeks on that day. We are very excited and can not wait to see him!!!

My Shower
What a weekend! Friday night I went to bed and couldn't wait to get to the shower and see everyone. I woke up around 1:45 AM itching on my hands, legs and belly. I had weps on my belly. I woke Danny up and started googling pregnancy itching. It stated some pretty scary stuff so I called the Dr. office. I got the on call nurse and she told me to take some Benedryl. So, I took that and went back to bed. I got up and got ready for the shower and felt fine the whole time. Once I got to the church I started itching again under my arms and around my breast. The longer I sat there the more I broke out and itched. I managed to get all of my wonderful gifts opened. I got some great stuff!!! I finally called the Dr again and got the same on call nurse. She told me to go to Labor and Delivery at Glenwood. So my Mom drove me and Danny met us there (he had been at work). When I walked in and told them what was going on, they acted like I was retarded for coming to labor and delivery. One lady said, "We don't treat rashes." I was so upset! Finally they saw how bad my "rash" was and called the on call Dr. which was Dr. Wilson. He told them to send me to the ER. I sat in the ER room and talked to a couple of nurses and a PA. They all asked me the same stuff, have I changed soap or detergent, etc. Nothing! Finally they ordered me an IV of Benedryl, a steroid and some pepcid. After poking me in three different veins and blowing one of them up, they finally got the IV started. When the IV was going I asked if there was any way I could hear Parker's heart beat. I had not felt him move a whole lot and I just wanted to be sure, ya know. They said sure, they have a doppler. So this man comes in and pokes and prods at my belly for a good 10 minutes and found nothing. He sent in another nurse who was much more gentle, but she didn't find anything either. By this time I was starting to get worried. The nurse who did my IV came back in and started trying to find it. It probably took about 15 minutes (which seemed like a lifetime) before she finally found it, but it was there. She thinks that his back was to my belly and so it made it harder to find. The machine they were using wasn't made to find a baby's heart beat, so it was harder than usual. Finally, I was on my way home. They gave me a prescription of Visteril, but I assumed that I wouldn't need it since I just had an IV of meds.
I went to bed around 9:15 and around 1:00 AM I woke up itching again. My hands and feet. I went and took a bath in Aveeno. By the time I got out of the tub, I had started wepping up again. Bonnie heard me and got up to make sure I was ok. I told her what was going on and she told me to call the Dr back. Same nurse told me that I needed to go get my prescription filled. So Bonnie and I head to Monroe Walgreen's at 2:00 AM. I got my script filled, took one on my way home and went to bed about 4:00 AM. It knocked me out! I didn't wake up until around 2:30 Sunday afternoon. I probably wouldn't have gotten up then, but Danny called to check on me. So far, I haven't had any more itching, thank God!! It was a scary ordeal and I really hope I never have to go through it again.
Thanks to everyone for the wonderful gifts and for coming to the shower. It was great to see you all!

31 Week Check up
I went to the Dr on Tuesday and everything looked fine. She said that at about 35 or 36 weeks we would do another ultrasound to see if I can deliver him vaginally. I can't wait to see him again.
I can not believe that my shower is next weekend!! It snuck up on me! I am very excited about it and very excited about seeing everyone! I hope everyone can make it, but will understand if you can't.
Parker is moving around so much now. It's not just like a little thud now, it's more of a roll. This morning, I was at my desk and I could see my stomach moving. It was so neat!
Danny and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary on Monday. Well, we actually celebrated on Tuesday, but the day was Monday. We did have some of our wedding cake on Monday night. It wasn't too bad, but we didnt eat much of it. Just enough to say we ate it. It's so hard to believe that the wedding and honeymoon were one year ago!! I wish I was still on that cruise!!!

29 Week Check up
We went for our 29 week check up (at 28 weeks and 6 days) yesterday. We had an ultrasound and Parker is really growing. He weighs about 3 lbs 6 oz. She said that I am measuring a little over a week ahead. Dr. Salas said that everything looked good. We will continue to watch his growth and see if he will need to come earlier than December 9th. We discussed pediatricians. I am just torn on this decision. I need to meet with several of them and see which one I like best.
It is really getting hard for me to wake up in the mornings. I am thinking I might have to cut out my 9 hour days and go back to 8 hours.
Danny was finally able to feel Parker move the other night. Parker wasn't being real cooperative, but he did kick a little for him to feel. I have really been feeling him a lot! I can't wait to hold him and kiss on him!!!

27 Weeks
I went for my Glucose yesterday. Still waiting on the results of that. We have scheduled our next ultrasound for 9/22. We start going to the dr every two weeks now. I am starting to feel a little overwhelmed with all of the things that need to be done. I'm sure everything will be fine and come into place, but to think about it all kinda freaks me out!
I will post my results as soon as I get them.

25 Week Check up
I went to see Dr Salas yesterday and everything went good. She said everything looked perfect. I will go back September 9th for the routine Gestational Diabetes test. All pregnant women have these test. Please pray for me and pray that I do not have this. I have friends who have had it and it doesn't seem too fun. Luckily it can be controlled by a certain diet. It can also be controlled by having to take shots daily.
They will also be checking my blood count to make sure my iron is good. I asked her if we would get to have another ultrasound and she said she would be scheduling a "growth" ultrasound so that the insurance will pay for it. She said that I am measuring a week ahead of my estimated due date, so that is the reason for the growth ultrasound. I could pay $150 for the 4D ultrasound, but I think we have decided not to do that. Especially now that she is already scheduling one my insurance will cover. I am excited and ready to see him again! I love filling him move around all the time. It is an awesome feeling.

Registered
I was finally able to get Danny to go to Toys R Us and register on Friday. We got registered for a lot of goodies, but we (or I) will still go to Target and register also. There are so many things out there for babies!! We were pretty overwhelmed.
Parker is moving around everywhere these days. It is such a weird feeling, but I love it! Can't wait for Danny to be able to feel it also.

21 Week Check up
We went to the Dr yesterday. She said that everything was looking good. She said I am measuring perfect and that she went over the ultrasound report from July 1st and everything looked real good. He has two kidneys, two lungs, etc. I am so ready to see him again, but we didn't get to yesterday. We did hear his heart beat for just a second. The nurse was the one who came in and did that. It took her a while to find it and then only held it there for a second. She didn't ask us if we heard it or anything. She was not the friendliest, but oh well at least we did hear it. Dr Salas is so nice. She is so easy to talk to and very friendly. We were in and out of the Dr's office within 30 minutes. It was very nice. When using Dr. Bryan it took at least an hour. I guess that is the advantage of using a Dr that is new to the area.
I scheduled our child birth classes today. We are taking the ABCs of Baby Care, Breastfeeding class and Child birth basics. They are all one night, two hour classes. I am very excited and can't wait!
I have started telling Danny that we need to go and register. He is not real excited about it. I told him I could go and do it without him, but he didn't like that idea either. He thinks we have everything we need...HAHA!!! I just really want to get registered before I am too big to walk around the store...lol. I could always do it online, but I like to see and feel things in person. I have however been looking online at bedding and stuff, just to get an idea. I have found one I love at babiesrus.com. Danny likes it too, but didn't seem to like it as much as I did.
Last night Parker was moving around like crazy. I can't wait until Danny can feel it too. I am ready to start feeling him all the time!!

I think I have finally started filling the flutters of Parker moving around in there. I don't notice them very often, but when I do it is amazing! I can't wait to start really feeling him. I really can't wait until Danny can feel him too!!
I have been trying really hard to sleep on my sides since that is what is suggested, but it is so hard. I am not very comfortable on my side. I also probably get up to go to the bathroom 5-10 times a night (ok, may be a little exaggerated, but that's what it feels like). I hate that!! I have decided to start cutting myself off from drinking at least by 7:30. I hope that helps!
Not much else new going on. I am leaving on Wednesday to go to Missouri to visit some family. I am very excited about it! I haven't been up there in three years! Danny isn't getting to go because he will have to work. I really want to take him up there one day though. He has never been to Missouri, so I think he will really like it.
Ok, I guess I have rambled enough for today.

Parker Blaze
Well we went to the doctor yesterday and found out its a BOY!! It was amazing to see him moving all around. He weighs around 7 oz. Danny and I were both kind of shocked that it was a boy. We just knew it was a girl since everyone else has boys. We are very excited about a boy though. I didn't care either way, but Danny has wanted a boy since before we were even married. He always said if we had a girl she was going on EBay...of course he was joking, but he really wanted a boy. He had gotten to where he was ok with a girl though.
We have compromised on the name Parker Blaze. I have always loved Parker and Danny wanted to name him Blaze Jericho. Well, obviously we had to compromise somewhere.
I saw my new dr. yesterday also. She is really nice. (in case you are not aware my OBGYN retired June 30th.) She said that everything looked good. I asked her about my ankles already swelling and she said it was normal since it is the summer. That made me feel a lot better.

Day before my Ultrasound
So tomorrow is the BIG day! I can not wait to find out if we are having a boy or a girl! My appointment is at 2:30. All of my other appts. have been in the morning, but with this one they are torturing me!
I am feeling pretty good these days, thank God! I didn't think I would ever have a day go by that I didn't feel nauseous. I am still pretty tired, but the sickness is gone for now. I have a little more energy now then I did a couple of weeks ago.
I can tell my belly is becoming bigger because of baby and not just fat...yay! Sorry if I don't post any belly shots, but its not very pretty..lol Maybe once it is all baby, I will get a picture out here, but for now just know that I am growing. =)
I will update more tomorrow!!

First post
Ok, so this is my fist post. I am 15 weeks and 3 days today. Dewana has been telling me I need to start blogging, so here I am.
I found out I was pregnant on April 2nd. We have had three drs apts and two ultrasounds. The first one was a small dot. The second u/s the baby looked like a little teddy graham. On the third visit we heard the heart beat. Wow..it's just amazing! On July 1st we will have our "big" ultrasound to find out the gender. Hopefully the little booger cooperates.
In the first trimester, I stayed nauseous! Only sick a couple of times, but mostly just felt nauseous. I was tired but not nearly as tired as I thought I would be. Since my second trimester started I have been way more tired. Its crazy. Dewana keeps telling me that any day now I should wake up and feel awake and refreshed! I'm still waiting on that.
Danny and I moved to Marion to my aunt Bonnie's at the end of May. Danny is supposed to start school in the Fall. He is working at Direct TV again. He has also started playing in a softball league. He is hardly ever at home. But me being able to spend time with Bonnie again is great. I hardly got to see her before we moved. Rudy has finally adjusted to becoming an outside dog. At first he loved being outside with her three dogs until it was bedtime. I dont think he slept for 3 days. He would scratch on the door and just look at me. It broke my heart!!! I am already an emotional basketcase, so that didn't help at all. I felt like he thought I was punishing him. But he seems to like it ok now. I guess he has just finally accepted that he can't come in the house.
I hope this is ok for the first blog entry. I will try to remember to continue this blogging stuff...hehe
